I get asked a lot, how do you make Facebook and Instagram and any social media platform work for you and the key is you got to use all the features that are available. Most businesses, think they can just post a couple of pictures and then they say, well, just doesn’t work well. Facebook has pictures. They have video, they have live, they have a canvas pictures, they have pictures and videos you can post on the same thing. They have poles like questionnaires. You can ask people that. Facebook has stories now. Facebook has watch. It’s like a YouTube which not everyone can use but they have that platform available. You can run Facebook ads, you can use Messenger. You can reach out to people personally. You can run ads to take people to Messenger. You can run video ads. You can run picture ads. You can like people that post on your page.
You can comment when people post on your page, you can get recommendations like reviews. That’s what Facebook calls them. Those recommendations you can push for that on your Facebook page. You can send broadcast messaging through third party apps using Messenger. There’s so many things you can do on Facebook. Instagram is Instagram stories, Instagram live, Instagram, IGTV which is longer form format or a longer form video where it used to be just portrait but they just changed it to also be landscape. You have Instagram ads, Instagram story ads. You have DMing where you can direct message people, you can send direct messages, voice messages to people. You can like people’s posts, you can comment on people’s posts, you can like post the people have commented on your pages. There’s so many things. You go on Instagram and if you do all of those or use all of those features that these platform gives, gives to you, you’re way more likely to succeed on Facebook and Instagram and Twitter and in any of the platforms that you’re on and that is the key.
You have to use all the features available to you. Facebook knows when you do and then reward. They will reward you when you do so they’ll give you more reach. They’ll give you more engagement. Now the content has to be good. You can’t be trying to sell on every one of those areas. You can’t be trying to sell on your live videos and keep trying to sell on every post to make and every picture post and every video posts you have to create content that’s going to make people laugh, that’s gonna make people engage with you. That’s going to let people are going to learn from you. They’re gonna look at you as look at you as an expert. And then once in a while you can sell. And that’s another big problem is everybody thinks that these platforms are selling platforms. I can’t sell anything on Facebook.
I can’t sell it on Instagram. You can, but that’s not the way you have to look at it. They’re relationship building platforms, there are places where you can meet people, engage with them, get to know them, they can get to know you. And then eventually you can try to sell to them as they get to know, like, and trust you more. So the key is, as much as you can use all the features that they make available to you, and you’ll be way more successful. Any of these platforms, don’t forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel.
