Just finished an awesome game of tennis with my buddy Ken, and I got an analogy for you. So imagine trying to play tennis with one tennis ball. I mean we played with six cause we’re old and we don’t want to run around too much, but most of you play with three I guess cause that’s what’s in the tin. There’s three. But imagine playing with just one, it just would not be fun to be exhausted, be working hard, maybe not even seeing any results just wouldn’t be any good. It’s kind of like social media for your small local business. If you just use Facebook, that’s like playing with one tennis ball, you’re not going to see the results you think you’re supposed to get. You probably won’t even put in the effort as much. But if you play in Instagram and you play in Facebook and Facebook stories and Instagram stories and Facebook ads, throw up some stuff on Linkedin, throw some tweets out, get some SnapChats and TikTok.
Yeah, the new, the old musically is now TikTok. You do that kind of stuff and it’s gonna pay off for, it’s going to be a little bit easier. Well, it’s going to be harder to do, but it results, results will come faster. You’ll probably enjoy it more. And that doesn’t mean you can make 10 different pieces of content for each platform, like different pieces. You could take the same piece of content, just alter it a little bit for each platform. So maybe put the picture on Instagram, a portion of the video on Instastories, the full video on YouTube, and then just have more fun and you’ll see better results. So I thought that was a good analogy. Hopefully you don’t sweat as much when you’re doing marketing. Like I did playing tennis. But you should work hard because if you work hard it will pay off, you’ll get more results for sure.
So that’s my little sports analogy. Just thought I’d come up with it today. And uh, and you know, we keep playing with six balls and every time we play we get better. So that’s another thing is you’ll get better and better and better at social media. You’ll learn more things. You learn how the, how your audience engages with you, what they like, what they don’t like, what you like, what you don’t like. What gets reaction and remember, as always, I’ve got to say this is you got to focus on value. Create value. Oh my arm’s getting sore. So I’ve got to move over here for a second. Oooh that’s hard. Create value for your audience. Don’t try to sell all the time and tell them all your specials. You have to create value. Teach them things, train them, show them how to use your product. Give, give your best content away for free and do it a lot, and you’ll get a lot of returns from it and you’ll have fun and people will love you for it. Oh got to stop again. This is just a killer on the arm when you’re holding this out this far.
So please share if you think this is valuable, share with some small local business owners that you know and please subscribe to this YouTube channel. We do lots of vidoes like this all the time.
